Verso Super Elixir is a brightening, moisturizing, and nourishing facial serum formulated and developed to target the appearance of uneven skin tone. The formula contains a retinoid called NEAR 1, and is unique Verso molecule which combines Vitamin A and Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) in one impactful, versatile technology.

Additionally, this facial serum contains a few highly concentrated and functional ingredients. The serum is formulated to improve the appearance of even skin tone and to help the skin to be more resistant to the visible effects of environmental stressors.

A study shows that Verso Super Elixir is hypoallergenic and can be used on sensitive skin.  

HOW VERSO SUPER ELIXIR WORKS 

Verso´s unique molecule, NEAR 1 (Niacinamidoethyl Retinoate), combines Vitamin A and Niacinamide, where Niacinamide helps to further stabilize and enhance the benefits of Vitamin A. The result is a stable Vitamin A that can work effectively and gently on the skin – the first of its kind. The benefits of using this stable form include its ability to deliver the visible results of Vitamin A with less to no irritation. A study shows that Verso Super Elixir effectively decreases the appearance of uneven skin tone, providing a smoother skin texture with a healthy-looking radiance.

Verso Super Elixir contains licorice root to boost soothing and enhance brightening results.    

One of the emollients used in this formula is Squalane, an oil-soluble ingredient found in the skin's natural oil called sebum. Its properties make it easily absorbed and suitable for all skin types. Squalane has long-lasting moisturizing benefits and can help to take care of your skin with its natural defenses. It is an excellent carrier for the functional ingredients in the formulation. This enables the ingredients to be delivered where they are needed the most and can thus perform their best.

HOW TO USE 

Apply some drops in the morning and/or evening on cleansed skin. We recommend starting with fewer drops if you experience an oilier skin condition. Use it alone or together with other skincare products. Protect your skin during the day using a sun protectant, at least SPF 30, to maintain results and healthy-looking skin.

One of our favorite recommendations is to use Super Elixir with Verso Super C Serum to extend its efficiency and thereby optimize the results, including healthy-looking skin. We always recommend protecting your skin during the day using sun protection, at least SPF 30. 

What are the differences between NEAR 1 and Retinol 8?

Retinol 8 has, since day 1, been the foundation of our bestselling products. This unique Vitamin A complex is eight times as effective as traditional Retinol, yet half as irritating, leaving your skin with a youthful appearance.     On the other hand, NEAR 1 uses Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) to stabilize Vitamin A. This stable molecule can enhance the effects of Vitamin A while providing the retinoid family's best brightening effect at a visibly less irritating concentration. NEAR 1 is a groundbreaking, unique molecule patented by Verso Skincare.

What is NEAR 1?

NEAR 1 (Niacinamidoethyl Retinoate) is Verso’s patented molecule. It is a versatile skincare technology combining two hero ingredients: Vitamin A and Niacinamide. It is the outcome of our ambition to create an effective and stable Vitamin A technology causing little to no irritation. NEAR 1 is developed from Vitamin A and Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide). After combining these ingredients with a unique link, a new vitamin A derivative (an ester of Vitamin A) is produced. The technology uses Niacinamide to further stabilize and enhance the benefits of Vitamin A. This results in a more stable, effective, and gentle Vitamin A - the first of its kind.

    I have only used this a few times, but I can say that this will be an ongoing staple in my routine. I use it in the morning before applying a layer of Super C Serum over the top and then my sunscreen. I have sensitive skin and new to using retinol, so I use this product 1-2 times a week, alternating between morning and evening. My skin soaks it all in with no irritation whatsoever and my face feels nourished all day. I live this product and I am so pleased it was recommended for my skin.

    Bästa ansiktsoljan! Jag har provat ett tiotal andra produkter och denna är bästa. Har tidigare lidit av torr och rodnande hud kring näsan, normal hud i pannan och fetare vid hakan. Denna olja använder jag i hela ansiktet med perfekt resultat. Den är lite dyr men värd varenda krona. Brukar passa på att köpa 2 för 1 en gång per år.

    I have used the no. 7 face oil with retinol 8 for years and thought I’d try this new near 1 product when it came out. Surprisingly, it irritates my skin and I cannot use it.

    Dear Inga, Thank you for your review and for reaching out. We are happy to read that you have enjoyed the results of using Verso Super Facial Oil for several years. We appreciate all the feedback we receive from our customers, and we are sorry to learn that the Verso Super Elixir formulation did not apply to your skin. The formulation is developed to suit highly sensitive skin, but there seems to be something in the Verso Super Elixir that does not align with your skin since you had this experience. Functional products can need time to be slowly introduced to the skin, so if you started to use the Verso Super Elixir daily from the start, it could have been too much for your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you think this could be the case, you could try to slowly introduce the product to your skin if it is not irritated when you apply it. It is often beneficial to slowly build up and increase usage. Start with every third evening, and increase or decrease the use according to the skin's tolerance. We also recommend you initially apply a small amount of the Verso Super Elixir behind your ear or in the arm fold just to see if you experience an irritation/reaction before applying it to the face. If you should experience any irritation, it is clearly an ingredient in the product that has caused it and then you should not use the product.
