HOW IT WORKS

Retinol 8 helps to slough off old skin cells faster from your epidermis. This action improves the look of an even skin tone and plumped skin. Thus, reducing the appearance of dryness and fine lines. It protects the skin from the visible effects of environmental stressors that can cause the appearance of irritated skin.

Another benefit of using Retinol 8 is that it balances the appearance of oiliness. The functional ingredient also keeps pores unclogged from oils and old skin cells. This function counteracts impurities and can help the skin to stay fresh and healthy-looking.

Lastly, Retinol 8 is also a powerful antioxidant that helps the skin to stay protected from the visible results caused by daily exposure to pollutants.

Unlike most traditional retinols, Retinol 8’s usage is not only limited to nighttime treatment but can also safely be used during the day in combination with a sun protectant.

CAN I USE RETINOL 8 DURING THE DAY?

Even if Retinol 8 can be used during the daytime, it is essential to protect your skin when exposed to the sun (with or without the use of a retinol product). This is to preserve the results of your skincare routine, promoting a prolonged youthful appearance. 

We advise that you avoid using Retinol 8 products when sunbathing. All year round, it's always recommended to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 or higher when using Retinol 8.

CAN I USE RETINOL 8 DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING? 

The same precautions apply during pregnancy and breastfeeding. We do not recommend using Retinol 8 during pregnancy due to the overall hormonal change in the body. Instead, we recommend that you choose products that help moisturize, soothe, and protect your skin. Our Facial Cleanser, Hydration Serum, Super C Serum, Nourishing Cream, and Nourishing Mask are all products that can be used with those benefits. Do not forget to add daily sun protection. 

IS RETINOL 8 SAFE TO USE?

Although Retinol 8 is 50% less irritating than traditional Retinol, it’s always good to start slowly when introducing a new functional skincare product. Start with using the product a couple of times a week, and then increase the usage depending on your skin’s tolerance. 

CAN I USE RETINOL 8 AROUND MY EYES?

We recommend that you use a product specifically developed for the delicate skin around your eyes. Verso Super Eye Serum, containing Retinol 8, is a product suitable and developed for this area.

WHAT CAN I USE WITH RETINOL 8 TO ENHANCE THE EFFECT? 

Combining Vitamin C and Retinol 8 (Vitamin A) can optimize the results, creating a better environment for Retinol 8 to enhance the appearance and extend its visible effectiveness. 

The combination may protect the skin from the visible effects of environmental stressors when applied together with sunscreen. 

Verso Super C Serum is a result-driven serum rich in antioxidants that may boost the effect of Retinol 8. If you use a product with Retinol 8 (or NEAR 1) in your daily routine, we suggest that you apply the Super C Serum during the day and your Retinol 8 (or NEAR 1) product during the night. 

Hydrating, soothing and moisturizing products also help to strengthen your skin and are beneficial to use in combination with Retinol 8. Great choices are Verso Hydration Serum, Verso Nourishing Cream, and Verso Nourishing Mask. 

We always recommend finishing your daily skincare routine with sun protection, at least SPF 30. This will help to maintain the results of your skincare products and the look of a healthy complexion.
